Last week I had the pleasure of attending Dazed & Diffused, the first Generative AI meetup in Melbourne. Attendees ranged from coders to business leaders to inventors and investors.

The mood was buzzy, geeky, curious and fun. Lot’s of talk about what people are up to with Generative AI tech, opinions on where things will go and some great demos (AI generated children story books, research & analysis enablement tools and more).

Dazed & Diffused hosted by Tim O’Niell and Yash Varma saw over 50 Generative AI enthusiasts come together to share, discuss and predict the future.

There was a definite big blurry line between what were great ideas and potential business plans vs conceptual discussions of what could be coming down the road, which added to the excitement.

The next Dazed & Diffused will be held in Sydney in April and I look forward to seeing more of the community there.
